Brian's approach

As a dedicated retirement mortgage specialist, I am passionate about helping clients manage one of their most significant assets: their home. I love meeting people and hearing the rich experiences that come with this stage of life. Whether it is creating extra cash flow by paying off a current mortgage or providing additional funds for enjoyment, I am grateful to help clients enhance their retirement by using their home equity.

Reverse mortgages are a specialty, not a sideline. From my office in Bend, I work with homeowners 62 and older across Central Oregon who want a clear, unhurried explanation of how a reverse mortgage works, whether it fits their plan, and how it compares to the alternatives. My job is to give you honest guidance, including when a reverse mortgage is not the right move.

A reverse mortgage is one piece of a larger retirement picture, so I am glad to sit down with your family and to coordinate with your financial and tax advisors. Every HECM borrower completes independent counseling with a HUD-approved counselor, which gives you an unbiased second opinion before you decide anything. Any numbers we review together are illustrative, and your actual figures depend on your age, your home, current rates, and a full review of your situation.
